Who is The Speech Maker?
Who am I?
I'm Paul, and I've been a professional writer for more than 15 years.
I’ve had books and articles published. I’ve written for a variety of TV comedy shows including Spitting Image, Hale & Pace, Talking Balls, Brian Conley, Russ Abbot and Planet Mirth. I've written original material for a host of West End performers – both funny and serious. I have written live entertainment for the corporate entertainment market. And I've written lots and lots of wedding speeches.
I’m also an actor.
I've played a wide range of characters from Macbeth to Ugly Sister in Pantomime.
My acting background ensures your wedding speech will work not only on the page, but also, and more importantly, it will work out loud at the reception. Because making a speech isn't simply about written sentences. It’s about standing up, taking a deep breath and speaking words in which you have absolute confidence.
The writing is only half the job.
And lots of really good writers are just that – writers.

Unfortunately, what looks great on the page doesn’t always sound so good when spoken – listen to an amateur reading Shakespeare.
